• accept difficulties and face the problems with an open
• mind and good sense of humor,
• would like to help to restore the agriculture in Valaam,
• wish to visit Russia and take a close look at our life

Other requirements

• Volunteers with heavy diseases are not recommended
• to take part in this work-camp,
• because monastery is isolated and it could be hard
• to get to hospital very fast.

If the formal invitation to Russia is required for You

If you wish to join us to help the Monastery you have to take part in the international work-camps.

In 2010 there will be 2 work-camps in August and in September.

For this purpose it is necessary to find in your country a volunteer organisation co-operating with Russian volunteer organisation World4u in the organisation of work-camp in Valaam and contact it.

For example, you can contact to YAP, Alliance, SCI.

If the formal invitation to Russia is not required for You

You

• have to fill in an application form;
• to receive from us acknowledgement that you are

  registered by the participant of the chosen group;

• at an affirmative reply - to confirm the participation

  twice: 10 days and for 4 days before departure (by call,

  sms or e-mail*). Failing the acknowledgement your

• place (without warning) will be occupied by other

  person;

• to buy a return-ticket, to tell us your arrival and

  departure dates, be in time on meeting point

*when you are going to send us sms, e-mail or call, please tell us briefly who are you, your group number and your decision
